Tamarind of Gisborne was founded by a team of like-minded foodies; Pooja and Cj Singh  who have always liked to eat, drink, imagine, and create great food together. Our hobby quickly led us to opening a restaurant, a place where people from all over town can meet to enjoy our special dishes and comfortable atmosphere. when we both  went to wine and food festival we found there is great match of Indian food with 

local vibrant wines and local popular Beer  created my late friend Geoff Gisborne Gold .we believe in supporting local suppliers of tender lamb and local fisheries .we thank to our local suppliers who always present the needed ingredient for my recipe.
